Here is some of what you can expect from being an ED Unit Secretary with us:
You will organize and manage the department activities
You will oversee office supply inventory, room utilization, and audio/visual equipment utilization
You will provide clerical support for the Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Director of Risk Management & Safety
You will coordinate special projects as assigned3
You will interact with physicians, hospital directors, other hospital executives, as well as employees, patients and families
You will assist in the completion of department assignments
You will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications you will need for this role:
High school graduate or equivalency preferred
Some college or business courses preferred.
Current BLS Certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Previous customer service and secretarial experience preferred
Advanced computer skills preferred
Excellent telephone skills
Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Knowledge of PC based computer software, i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and/or similar systems preferred
Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, JCAHO, CMS, and Life Safety standards preferred. General knowledge of legal procedures/practices
Excellent spelling, grammar, and verbal communication and written composition skills
Customer service skills
