Here is some of what you can expect from being a Pharmacy Assistant Director with us:
You will assist the Director with supervising the daily operations of the Pharmacy Department
You will assist in maintaining the proper staffing/drug purchasing levels in accordance with patient acuity and budget parameters
You will be responsible for fiscal, human resource, regulatory, clinical and operational functions in regards to pharmaceuticals
You will maintain a 24 hour/day accountability and serve as responsible party for the Department in the absence of the Director
You will perform staffing requirement as a pharmacist during the normal course of the position on a regular basis
You will coordinate staff hiring and supply management utilization activities
You will be active in department medication safety projects/programs
You will be an active member of hospital committees as designated by the Director of Pharmacy
Qualifications you will need for this role:
Current licensure by the Colorado Board of Pharmacy as a licensed Pharmacist
BCLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or ARC
Must maintain current certifications
BS Pharmacy or Pharm D, MS, or MBA preferred
Completion of ASHP accredited residency program preferrd
Previous leadership experience preferred
Effective oral and written communication skills, computer skills are a must
Demonstrated skills commensurate with formal training
