The Director of Professional Development is responsible for partnering with executive leaders, Human Resources, Corporate and Division Leadership & Organizational Development, unit leave leaders and other key stakeholders to develop and implement solutions that align with key business strategies and enhance leadership development and organizational performance. This position assesses, implements and manages organizational development strategies, leadership development programs, non-clinical training programs and initiatives to improve overall organizational effectiveness, culture and performance. Assists in prioritizing organizational efforts and resources towards the implementation of patient experience and leadership development activities that are critical to the organization’s mission, vision, culture, values and strategic priorities.
Facilitates team development interventions, including shared governance models.
Assists in integrating the leadership competency model for selection, assessment, training and development and succession planning
In conjunction with HR, monitors development activities of succession candidates towards the goal of developing ‘ready-now’ candidates for key positions.
Assists in coordination of targeted development programs for new and high potential leaders.
Assists in monitoring the effectiveness of all development and training initiatives against pre-defined metrics

Master’s degree in related field
2-5 years of progressive healthcare related leadership with demonstrated success driving talent management, change management, project management and advancement of facility outcomes.
Required Knowledge and Skills

Requires diplomacy, relationship building and the ability to problem solve in a team environment.
