M Health Fairview is offering a four week NST Dual Trainee position where you gain real world experience while Fairview pays the tuition for a nursing assistant certification . The NST Dual Trainee will see a variety of areas including patient assessment, intervention, and care planning. You will gain confidence in patient care to enhance critical thinking and interpersonal skills in an acute care environment.
Two, 8 hour shifts per week while in training

NA Dual Trainee works in this role while you complete your education, we then discuss hiring you into an NST position on a hospital unit
Location: Fairview Southdale Hospital
NA Dual Trainee will learn both the direct patient care and non-direct patient care aspects of being a nursing assistant and working at the unit desk!
On the hospital unit you will be immersed in real life experiences that can relate back to your courses.
Examples of things NA Dual Trainee will learn:
Patient care such as personal hygiene, vitals, daily activities, repositioning, transporting, and feeding
Maintaining unit desk area functions such as answering phones, processing admissions, discharging and transferring forms, transcribing orders, assembling patient charts and ordering tests
Setting up and maintaining patient rooms
Ordering and stocking of supplies
Working in a team centered environment
Learning a varity of clerical duties at the unit desk such as answering phones, maintaining patient medical records, scheduling patient tests and procedures
Attend Fairview paid nursing assistant training at one of our educational partnered schools which includes meeting enrollment requirements
Intend to continue employment with M Health Fairview upon completion of the program
