Diet Aide
Prepares dietary information for use by kitchen personnel in preparation of foods for hospital patients by performing the following duties; has lead responsibility on weekends. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Receives calls for meal orders from patients or nursing staff utilizing appropriate phone protocol. 2. Monitors and verifies patient information and diet orders are interfacing correctly between electronic medical records and room service software system. 3. Reviews documentation for ongoing patient care. 4. Monitors patient food allergies and communicates patient food allergies to cooks and tray passers. 5. Maintains patient confidentiality as outlined by privacy and HIPAA guidelines
