You.
You bring your body, mind, heart and spirit to your work as a Medical Physicist.
Your compassion is tangible: patients feel it in the hand they hold. Families feel it in your prayers. Colleagues feel it in your support.
Youâ™re equally comfortable with treatment planning, dosimetry calculations, and the delivery of radiation to patients.
Youâ™re great at what you do, but you want to be part of something even greater. Because you believe that while individuals can be strong, the right team is invincible.
Us.
Our Radiation Oncology unit offers comprehensive and leading edge treatments that are making radiation therapy safer and more effective than ever before. We provide personalized care, providing each patient with their own patient navigator who guides the patient through the entire radiation journey and providing holistic care. The field of radiology continues to make gains in knowledge and technology, with newer methods of care constantly being tested. Some of the advanced offerings/technologies we utilize to treat our patients include:
- Intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) using volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) â“ An advanced mode of high-precision radiotherapy using computer-controlled linear accelerators.
- Stereotactic ablative body radiotherapy (SABR) â” Administers very high doses of radiation using several beams at different angles to target the tumor.
- Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) â“ Uses radiation to treat tumors in the brain and other sensitive areas.
- TomoTherapy® ⓠA type of radiation delivered slice-by-slice with help from a computer.
- 4-D computed tomography to account for respiratory motion of tumorsâ”Treatment designed to minimize the effects of motion, such as breathing, while administering radiation.
- VisionRT® - Surface-guided radiation therapy.
- 3-D conformal radiation (3D-CRT)â”Radiation treatment administered in a way to match the shape of the tumor.
We are proud to be an accredited Chest Pain Center, a Primary Stroke Center, and a private teaching hospital.
Saint Joseph Hospital is part of SCL Health, a faith-based, nonprofit healthcare organization that focuses on person-centered care. Our 365-bed facility is one of the top-ranked hospitals in Denver, and has been awarded the highest national recognition possible for nursing excellence â“ Magnet designation â“ by the ANCC. We are proud to extend the mission of SCL Health by providing care for the poor, the vulnerable, our communities and each other. Our deep community roots date back to 1873, making us one of the oldest hospitals in Colorado.
Benefits are one of the ways we encourage health for you and your family. Our generous package includes medical, dental and vision coverage. But health is more than a well-working body: it encompasses body, mind and social well-being. To that end, weâ™ve launched a Healthy Living program to address your holistic health. Healthy Living includes financial incentives, digital tools, tobacco cessation, classes, counseling and paid time off. We also offer financial wellness tools and retirement planning.
We.
Together weâ™ll align mission and careers, values and workplace. Weâ™ll honor each otherâ™s dignity and surpass the standards we set. Weâ™ll encourage joy, demand safety and take pride in our integrity.
Weâ™ll laugh at each otherâ™s jokes (even the bad ones). Weâ™ll hello and high five. Weâ™ll celebrate milestones and acknowledge the value of spirituality in healing.
Weâ™re proud of what we know, which includes how much there is to learn.
