Bachelor's degree preferred; Minimum 0-2 years' experience with administering Electronic Health Record (EHR) programs and applications.
Responsible for the resolution of any first level tickets assigned from the help desk or other internal IT resources. This position will escalate any advanced tickets to the appropriate individuals. Will assist in training, maintenance, and enhancement of Mind Springs Health's EHR system and any associated systems. Assists in onboarding and offboarding users in the EHR. Conducts ongoing learning, research, and evaluation of EHR technology to support the values, mission, and vision of the organization. Acts as a point of first contact with end users, and as a result must have excellent customer service skills. Works closely with other members of the Information Technology team to achieve shared goals.
Knowledge, Skill & Ability(include materials and equipment directly used):
Ability and desire to learn and support both existing and new EHR/EMR programs and systems.
Excellent customer service skills are a must.
Knowledge of business and clinical applications and ability to make decisions to apply "best practices".
Ability to keep projects moving toward successful completion in face of aggressive schedules and discouraging developments.
Working knowledge of Windows based computer applications to include Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Internet access.
Ability to work with team members to accomplish shared goals.
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, anticipate needs and make adjustments as necessary.
Ability to operate standard office equipment including calculator, copy machine, fax and multi-line telephone.
Interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external customers.
Ability to present technical systems in a user-friendly context for users.
Ability to train users in a formal context, provide telephone training or in-person.
Capable of independent action without losing sight of MSH policies, procedures, mission, and values.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stand or kneel and occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop. Must have ability to sit for longer periods of time at a computer. Employee must be able to travel between Mind Springs sites. May be exposed to stressful situations that involve enraged, distraught and/or intoxicated individuals with possible mental health conditions. Possible exposure to communicable disease.
