Qualified external applicants with at least six months of direct RN experience are eligible for up to a $20,000 sign-on bonus! The bonus will be taxed per IRS regulations. Additional relocation bonus may apply based on geographical location. Must be hired into a full-time or part-time position; PRN positions are not eligible. Some exclusions may apply.

Schedule: Part Time:, 24 hours/week-Days.

Call Required: approx. 4 call shifts in 6 week schedule block. Typically no weekend call unless covering team members PTO.

$30.25 - $44.34/hr

Assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the patient. Promotes the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act. Demonstrates personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

Day to Day duties: Circulate and/or Scrub on all cases. Primarily; GEN, Ortho (trauma/ totals, Sports Medicine), Trauma, Robotics (DaVinci XI/SI), Neuro, Vascular, Cardiac, Thoracic, Urology, OB/GYN, ENT, and Spine cases. One specialized team for Cardiac, all Associates are cross-trained for all other services. Giving breaks and/or providing additional supplies and sterile instruments as needed during operations. Assisting with Room turnover and restocking for next days cases. Acting as an advocate for patient before, during and after surgery.

12 OR Suites including 1 trauma room, a hybrid Room, Designated CVOR and a Cystoscopy Suite- Expansion +5 new OR's anticipated Dec 2022

Approx. 550-650+ cases per month

What You Bring/Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

• RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact,
  • Colorado Only: RNs working in Colorado under a multi-state license must obtain their CO RN license within 30 days of establishing residency, i.e., drivers license, register to vote, etc. Compact to Compact. • Nursing Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RN's
• BLS from the American Heart Association required
• One year experience preferred
• Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty

St. Anthony Hospital is a Level I trauma center, which allows the Perioperative Department to see a wide range of patient needs and acuity levels. We are unique in the Centura Health system and in the community because have a designated trauma room that is at the ready 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The trauma room (T-10) allows for the facility to triage any patient meeting specific criteria in an operating room, bypassing the ED, and has a designated response team of approximately eight different units with unique roles during a trauma team activation allowing prompt immediate surgical intervention within minutes of arrival by our partners in EMS and Flight for Life.

The surgical unit itself has 12 rooms including the trauma room, a hybrid room, designated cardiac OR and a Cystoscopy room. We have two DaVinci Xi Robotic systems allowing us to provide robotically assisted procedures in general, urology, gynecology, and thoracic specialties. Currently there are 17 different specialties provided here at SAH including trauma, neuro, ortho, general, cardiac, vascular, ENT, plastics, urology, GYN, thoracic, and more. Our caseload for 2019 was 5,859 procedures in this unit alone. We have one specialized team for cardiac, all other associates are cross trained for all remaining specialties allowing for increased knowledge base of surgical procedures, skill level and ability to cover any patient care needs. We provide safe, quality patient care to all those in need and exceptional customer service to our providers as well. The surgical department is fully invested in the team approach to patient care including nurses, surgical technologist, surgeons, anesthesiologists, certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNA), support specialists, unit clerks, anesthesia techs, supply chain management, facilities and biomed. We support one another and encourage further education, internal promotions, and a work-life balance. We look for those who have a vested interest in our department and Centura Heath's mission.
