The Senior Specialist, Communication - Copyediting will serve as the gateway for all materials emanating from Marketing & Communications. An expert and advisor in the style guide for CCHMC, the copyeditor will ensure excellence in execution through the written word, review for voice, style and grade level by audience and serve as the final check of phone numbers, websites and other pertinent information. This expertise will ensure that CCHMC content is professional and polished, offering confidence in the overall CCHMC experience.
Review and copyedit all Marketing & Communications materials.
Check for voice, style and grade level for the specific audience. Adjust and make recommendations as needed.
Serve as an expert, partner and consultant to colleagues within Marketing & Communications.
Regularly train and educate Marketing & Communications team members on the Style Guide, tips and tools and other development opportunities to create efficiency and excellence in execution.
Review presentation content as needed for copyediting purposes.
Check all links, phone numbers, QR codes and other information to ensure accuracy before printing/disseminating materials.
Check for diversity, equity and inclusion in all materials (visuals, writing style, pronouns, etc) and make suggestions to align with organization goals.
Create content as needed for Marketing & Communications.

Bachelor's degree in a related field
2 - 5 years of work experience in a related job discipline
