This position will include considerable collaborative work with primary care physicians and support staff in the office, a co-located behavioral health specialty clinic within the hospital system, and external providers as well as community resources.

Your day.
As a Behavioral Health Specialist with us, you need to know how to:
- Provide comprehensive intake examinations and behavioral health assessments, and determine accurate DSM-5/ICD-10 diagnoses based on clinical information.
- Provide behavioral health services to individuals, couples, families and groups, using a variety of treatment approaches and tools.
- Make appropriate referrals for patients needing services outside the scope of the immediacy of primary care.
- Maintain complete and timely clinical records on all clients.
- Provide consultation to other staff members as requested and participate in staffing of cases.
- Provide consultation and education services to individuals, agencies, institutions and groups as assigned.
- Participate in staff training and attend staff meetings.
- Review client files to assess dangerousness and violence evaluation of family violence referrals.
- Make referrals to a variety of social services and medical resources as needed.
- Participate in the screening process of new referrals to the department as needed.
Your experience.

- Masters in Social Work (MSW), required
- Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in a related field, required
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire (with prior approval), required
