You bring your body, mind, heart and spirit to your work as an Ambulance Paramedic.
Youâ™re ready to roll up your sleeves. Eager to ask questions. And willing to go above and beyond to ease a patientâ™s pain.
Youâ™re great at what you do, but you want to be part of something even greater. Because you believe that while individuals can be strong, the right team is invincible.
Us.
Our emergency medicine doctors, specialty-trained nurses and technicians provide the highest quality of care, providing assessment, resuscitation, surgery, intensive care, stabilization of injured patients and emergency operations. We are proud to offer a high level of care as a Certified Chest Pain Center, Primary Stroke Center, and Level III Trauma Center.
Our ED is equipped with:
16 private rooms for the safety and privacy of our patients
A dedicated trauma bay
An orthopedic procedure room
Four negative air-flow rooms for necessary respiratory and airborne isolation
In addition, our Platte Valley ED team is trained to identify and treat less serious conditions quickly. If our patients need a higher level of care than is available with us, we rely on our resources and partnerships to get our patients quickly to the right experts within the hospital, at another SCL Health facility, or anywhere that provides appropriate care. We maintain a 24-hour helipad for emergent evacuation and inter-facility transport of patients.
Platte Valley Medical Center is a partner of SCL Health which is a nonprofit healthcare organization that focuses on person-centered care. Our 98-bed community hospital is proud to offer comprehensive, integrated care focused on holistic health. We are proud to extend the mission of SCL Health by providing care for the poor, the vulnerable, our communities and each other.
Benefits are one of the ways we encourage health for you and your family. Our generous package includes medical, dental and vision coverage. But health is more than a well-working body: it encompasses body, mind and social well-being. To that end, weâ™ve launched a Healthy Living program to address your holistic health. Healthy Living includes financial incentives, digital tools, tobacco cessation, classes, counseling and paid time off. We also offer financial wellness tools and retirement planning.
We.
Together weâ™ll align mission and careers, values and workplace. Weâ™ll encourage joy and take pride in our integrity.
Weâ™ll laugh at each otherâ™s jokes (even the bad ones). Weâ™ll hello and high five. Weâ™ll celebrate milestones and acknowledge the value of spirituality in healing.
Weâ™re proud of what we know, which includes how much there is to learn.
