Advanced Practice Provider in Cardiothoracic Surgery, youâ™ll support three surgeons alongside two other APPs to provide top-notch care and patient experience. Throughout the day youâ™ll collaborate with RNs in clinic and on the floor, MAs, surgery scheduler, front office support, and a clinic manager.
You would practice at St. Maryâ™s Hospital in Grand Junction, CO
Your hours in clinic will be Monday â“ Friday, 8 am â“ 5 pm
Youâ™ll be on call one out of three weeks
In this line of work every day is different, thatâ™s why youâ™ll need to know how to:
Provide and manage direct patient care in the clinic setting
Serve as a first assist to our cardiothoracic surgeons in the OR
Manage post-operative patient care in the inpatient setting
Direct and coordinate the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required
Your experience.
We hire people, not words on paper. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:
PA or NP certification
At least two yearsâ™ experience in a surgical role (preferably in CT surgery) â“ no new graduates, please
Active, unobstructed Colorado medical license, or the ability to obtain one
Ability to successfully complete St. Maryâ™s credentialing process
