The Staff Assistant position with Patient Financial Services position will provide support for the daily reconcilement, operations for cash and collections in the Revenue Cycle Department.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure current and previous day's work (deposits, checks, site payments, vendors, cash, gls and workday) are reconciled in a timely and accurate manner.
Match deposit totals on bank statement to CCHS staff daily deposits and vendor deposits.
Verify log and balance payments from Patient Accounting system with accounting tool, worksheets and daily bank statements.
Process and balance vendor reports.
Complete reconciliation of ACH and Credit Card payments to Bank Statement.
Process billing system patient Financial Payment Report.
Track all electronic posting Paper checks and complete deposit on-site.
Receive checks and complete Workday Customer deposits (Accounting Deposit).
Log and enter patient payment batches and vendor payment batches then input into Workday,
Enter bank deposit in Workday for acute/physician payments.
Enter returned checks in Workday.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High School graduate or equivalent.
Two years' experience in Revenue Cycle which may include hospital and physician billing, accounting, treasury reimbursement understanding.
Associates degree or above preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
