The Manager Revenue Cycle supports the maintenance and implementation of decision support systems (various billing and collection systems, system interfaces, HTPN warehouse and associated reporting programming) for HTPN and BHNI. Supports data maintenance functions, revenue cycle and billing compliance initiatives. Generates the collection and analysis of data on new projects or services and performs revenue/margin impact studies. Supports negotiations with vendors and/or information systems for software and IS services, hardware purchases, upgrades, interface development and maintenance. Educates HTPN employees regarding decision support product functions and areas of potential utilization. Plans and supervises the training, education and development of direct reports.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Hire, supervise, develop and provide education to subordinate staff; consult on appropriate staff qualifications and assess staff competence.
Provides analysis of financial and operational data to support management decisions, including the impact on current operations and projections of future impact.
Provides analysis and revenue impact studies for revenue cycle and billing compliance initiatives. Monitors fee structure to maximize reimbursement opportunities.
Provides due diligence and analysis for physician acquisitions and recruiting. Supports Consulting with analyses of non-HTPN physicians and groups.
Actively participates in performance/process improvement objectives of HTPN/BSWH.
Supports implementation of operational strategies related to businesss development, practice acquisition and other new ventures.
Consults with Physicians, Operations and Administration on financial issues involving physicians and clinics.
Assists in annual audit and budget process and supports data requirements for internal audits and budgeting.
Supports system integrations and conversions.
Proactively solicits input and feedback regarding service expectations from all entities supported.
Provides support, education and training to HTPN staff regarding the use of Decision Support products.
Actively contributes leadership, membership, and expertise to other organizational teams and committees as appropriate.
Manages relationships with HTPN vendors (EDS/GE); provides web-based utilities needed to work exsisting AR from three billing and collection systems, track tickets through system to identify problem areas, track payor reimbursements, provide a custom billing system needed during conversion from old to new billing systems.
Trains vendors and HTPN staff on use of custom utilities.
Acts as liaison to HTPN Content Committee in development of all reporting from Centricity Electronic Health Record system.
