We specialize in renal/diabetic, psychiatric and drug/alcohol issues, we also have a hemodialysis area on our unit as well. Additionally, we see med/surg and intermediate care status patients. We have a great team environment. Candidates interested must have a positive team-oriented attitude, are not afraid to ask questions and must exhibit compassion.What You Bring/Job Requirements:In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: Licensure/Education Requirements* High School GED required* A degree in nursing (BSN or MSN), required* Masters Degree preferred * Active RN License to practice in Colorado or Kansas as applicableExperience/Certifications Requirments* 3 years RN experience, required* 1 year clinical leadership experience, required* 1 year of clinical leadership in acute care setting and experience in Charge management preferred* BLS through the American Heart Association* ACLS required within 6 months of hire or transfer* Must sit for appropriate board certification within six months of hire or transfer into the role. Certification must be passed/obtained within two years of hire or transfer into the role.* Clinical and/or Leadership certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer.* Credential: Nursing Specific- ANCC ApprovedSchedule* Full Time Days* Will work one evening every two weeks to connect with Night Shift TeamUnit Info/Duties* 23 bed renal/diabetic unit. Provides care for complex medical patients* Oversees daily unit operations and a staff of approx. 30 FTEs, combination of RNs and CNAs. Hemodialysis unit within floor staff, that team is managed by Fresenius* This role is our liaison with Fresenius who monitors hemodialysis charges submitted by vendor, point person for obtaining badges, access for those nurses and participates in dialysis quality performance reviewsPhysical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)Your Connected Community:Penrose-St. Francis Health Services is a full-service, 522-bed acute care provider in Colorado Springs comprised of Penrose Hospital and St. Francis Medical Center.
