CHA Career Center

Assists the Laboratory Supervisor in achieving efficient Laboratory operation by performing clinical tests and assuming limited administrative functions. Supports laboratory testing services by performing specimen collection and processing, quality control and maintenance functions and results reporting and verification. Participates in training and in-service programs to maintain and upgrade competency at the level required by the Supervisor as procedures are changed or added.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology.ASCP, NCA or equivalent certification is highly recommended

Experience:

Minimum of six (6) years experience as Medical Technologist to supervise or work autonomously.

Training/License:

NYS ED License as Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Other:

Demonstrates expertise in specific discipline within the lab, or demonstrates overall high level of expertise as a generalist. Demonstrates strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
