Position Summary:The Workers' Compensation Claim Administrator is responsible for the direct administration of workers' compensation claims for employees of facilities participating in MultiCare Health System's self-insured, self-administered workers' compensation program. This position interprets complex state rules and regulations, manages the processes associated with the administration of workers' compensation claims, and coordinates medical care provided to injured employees. This position functions independently within general program policies and procedures and requires only periodic supervisory oversight and support. Work situations require data analysis, discretion, good judgment, and decision making within the scope of the position's responsibilities. Major decisions are subject to the review and approval of the manager. This position has frequent phone and written contact with employees, physicians, attorneys, investigators, state regulators, and other external participants in the workers' compensation process.
Minimum Requirements:Two to three years experience in the administration of self-insured workers' Compensation claims, Experience in the administration of claims and in the coordination of medical care and return to work processes.
Education/Licenses/Certifications:AA Degree, State certification to administer Workers' Compensation Claims.
