A surgical tech or SPD role at Centura Health is not just an opportunity to be a difference-maker, it's the chance to harness the knowledge, support and potential that surrounds you. The Surgical Tech/Scrub Tech works under the supervision of the surgeon and RN. Assists surgical team during operative procedures by arranging and inventorying sterile set-up of instruments, equipment and supplies for surgical cases and passing items to surgeons and nurses as needed. Assists in preparing and moving patients and sterilizing and cleaning instruments, equipment and rooms. Day to Day duties: * Scrub on all cases.* Primarily, Gen (Open/Laparoscopic/endoscopic), Ortho (Trauma/ Totals/Sports Med), OB/GYN (Open, Laparoscopic and C-Sections), Trauma. * No dedicated service line teams. Associates are cross trained for all services. * Giving breaks and/or providing additional supplies and sterile instruments as needed during operations.* Assisting with Room turnover and restocking for next day's cases. * Maintaining Sterile field during procedures. * Handing instruments to surgeons, anticipating surgeon's needs. * Maintaining and updating preference cards.3 OR Suites, 1 Endo Room, 1 OB/C-Section suite.Approx. 75-85+ Cases per month Schedule: PRN-Variable per surgical volume and current needs of unit-  PRN per policy is 5 shifts within a six week schedule block.No call required but able to pick up extra shifts depending on unit needs/ surgical volume *15% PRN Differential applies to Base Pay!!*What You Bring/Job Requirements:In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: * One year of experience in a surgical setting preferred* Experience in a specialty field preferred* Basic Computer skills required* High School Diploma or GED required* Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required* Completion of an approved Surgical Technician program preferred* Current registration as a Surgical Tech is required unless performing Surgical Tech functions within the scope of another verified Colorado license, certification or registration requiredPhysical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)Your Connected Community:St. Elizabeth Hospital, located in Fort Morgan, Colorado, is a Level 3 Trauma Center and an American College of Cardiology Accredited Chest Pain Center serving northeastern Colorado. Providing care through-out the region, St. Elizabeth Hospital provides cardiology, maternal, emergency, surgical, pediatrics, and acute care inpatient services in addition to the multitude of subspecialists in our specialty clinic. At 50 beds, St. Elizabeth is the region's referral center serving a wide span of northeastern Colorado. While recently becoming a part of Centura, St. Elizabeth has been in the community since 1952 and has been living out its mission since day one.
