Position Summary
Provides ongoing creative art therapy programs to meet the needs of children, adolescents, and their families using individual/family/group interventions.   

Essential Duties

1. Demonstrates skills and competencies in creative arts therapy.  Knowledgeable of the cognitive, physical, emotional, and chronological maturation process and tailor/adapt interventions to the appropriate developmental and treatment needs.   
2. May provide group sessions with children/adolescents and/or families participating in the Pediatric Day Program. Provides individual and family sessions on an outpatient basis.  Maintains appropriate client/therapist boundaries per ethical guidelines. 
3. Provides written documentation which includes clinical notes and billing documentation in the patients chart after each contact. Charting will meet standards of care of the division of Pediatric Behavioral Health. Maintains confidentiality of all patient records and communication.  
4. Attends all relevant department meetings and case conferences. Attends supervision meetings as established by the supervisor. 
5. Maintains and orders supplies within the provided budget.  Maintains the Children’s Art Gallery and oversees the use of the creative arts therapy room. 

Other Duties

1. Occasionally gives tours of the art therapy room/gallery.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Education: Master’s degree in social work or psychology required.
2. Work Experience: A minimum of 2 years post graduate experience working with a pediatric population required.  Experience working with individuals with emotional/behavioral issues and/or chronic illness preferred.
3. Special Training, Certification or Licensure: Current LPC or LCSW in the state of Colorado and registered Art Therapist with the Art Therapy Credentialing Board required.

Salary Range: $28.50 - $41.50
