Provides integration support for clinical, hospital and third party vendor information systems in implementing the Institution’s goals and mission related to its Information Systems and Technology strategies. Configures, supports and maintains the interfaces necessary for an integrated delivery system both internally and externally.
Essential Duties
Coordinates the design, configuration and implementation of interfaces between the hospital information system, scheduling system, electronic health record and other third party systems. Utilizes ticketing system as appropriate to document system issues, progress, and outcomes or resolutions.
Coordinates thorough connectivity, quality assurance testing, ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting of both internal and external vendor interfaces to assure proper data integration functioning.
Develops, tests and implements interfaces using the interface engine.
Acquires knowledge of use of interface tools used by outside vendors to allow for proper maintenance of corresponding interfaces.
Documents interface specifications and maintenance procedures.
Performs daily maintenance in all data integration areas to ensure minimal business interruption and on-time delivery of data to downstream systems.
Provides support for assigned Information Systems projects and systems, including the design, implementation, testing, problem diagnosis and ongoing support. In addition, provides support to other departments on issues related to data integration.
Understands surrounding systems in order to understand the entire solution end to end.
Provides on-call support for application software problems and downtime events during off-shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Participates in Quality Assessment (QA) and Quality Improvement (QI) programs, as directed.
Increases customer service knowledge, skill and ability by participating in department and institution-wide specific programs.
Assists with training of new employees and key users.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $105,000

Minimum Qualifications
Education:Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, business or applicable discipline required.
Work Experience:Five (5) years progressive experience in programming and support required, including at least two (2) years’ experience in interface support and development. Hands-on experience with HL7, Cloverleaf, or other interface enginespreferred.
