Responsibilities
Pediatrix® Medical Group seeks a neonatologist to join its practice at Broward Health Coral Springs in Coral Springs, Florida, a suburb of Fort Lauderdale. The hospitalâ™s NICU offers:
Newly expanded Level III NICU with15 all private rooms
Maternity tower with all new NICU opened in 2018
Approximate 2000 annual deliveries with average daily census of 10-12
Various ventilation methods, including HFOV, SIMV, CPAP and HFNC; as well as iNO
Therapeutic hypothermia treatment
Neonatal nurse PICC team
A monthly follow-up clinic
Full pediatric subspecialty support
Flexible schedule with approximately 7-9 shifts a month

Neonatology: A Day in the Life
Our highly specialized, board-certified and state-licensed neonatologists care for the tiniest, most vulnerable infants. A day in their lives includes:
Diagnosing and treating newborns with various conditions, such as breathing disorders, infections and birth defects
Coordinating care and medically managing newborns who are premature, critically ill or in need of surgery
Ensuring that critically ill newborns receive the proper nutrition for healing and growth
Providing care to the newborn at a Cesarean section or other delivery that involves medical problems involving the mother or baby that may compromise the infantâ™s health and require medical intervention in the delivery or operating rooms
Stabilizing and treating newborns with any life-threatening medical issues
Consulting with obstetricians, pediatricians, family physicians and other medical professionals about conditions affecting newborn infants
