OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS
Trinity Health Michigan Heart and Trinity Health IHA Medical Group are seeking a highly motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our respected Cardiology practice located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This role is specific to Electrophysiology and is vital in providing exceptional care to patients with cardiac rhythm disorders.
Your Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of new and established patients with arrhythmias in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Collaborate with Electrophysiologists to develop and implement treatment plans, including medication management, cardiac ablation procedures, and cardiac implanted electronic device (CIED) management (pacemakers, defibrillators).
Pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing electrophysiology procedures.
Monitor patient status and response to treatments
Educate patients on their condition, treatment options, and self-management strategies
Procedures:
Participation in electrophysiology studies and ablation procedures as permitted by state regulations and institutional policies
Assist with device implantation and interrogation
Collaboration:
Work effectively with Cardiologists and Electrophysiologists, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care
Communicate clearly and concisely with patients and families
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
Qualifications:
Master's degree Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP, ACNP only)
National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
State of Michigan License
Cardiology experience required, experience in EP strongly preferred
Strong clinical knowledge of cardiac arrhythmias
Excellent assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills

ABOUT THE FACILITY
Trinity Health Michigan Heart is recognized nationally as a leader among large cardiovascular medicine subspecialty practices. We are based out of Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Our Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is comprised of a single group with 29 cardiologists. We have integrated with Trinity Health Ann Arbor, a member of Trinity Health, one of the largest Catholic health care organizations in the United States. Trinity Health is based in Livonia, Michigan.
We collaborate with our cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons (both single groups) within a forum called the Michigan Heart & Vascular Institute (MHVI). Our practice locations span across much of southeastern Michigan. Regional partnering hospitals include Trinity Health Livonia Hospital in Livonia, Chelsea Community Hospital, and Trinity Health Livingston Hospital in Howell.
We provide a full range of coronary interventional procedures including cardiac catheterizations, PCIs, and complex CTO PCI. Our peripheral interventional program includes carotid, upper extremity, renal/mesenteric, aorto-iliac, fem-pop and below the knee PVI and renal denervation procedures. Our structural heart program includes BAV, TAVR, mitral valvuloplasty, MitraClip, ASD/PFO closure, left atrial appendage closure, alcohol septal ablation, EKOS, CardioMems and coronary fistula closure procedures. We are or have also been involved with clinical trials of left ventricular partitioning devices and stem-cell therapy. We have one of the largest noninvasive cardiology practices in the country with a full complement of services including echocardiography (including 3D), Transesophageal echocardiography, nuclear stress, noninvasive vascular studies, cardiac CTAs, and cardiac MRIs. We also have a comprehensive Electrophysiology program including EP studies, complex Ablations, Pacemaker and ICD implantation, as well as laser assisted extractions in a hybrid OR setting.
