The Radiology Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for Radiology and Interventional Radiology patients with a family-centered approach.??
Responsibilities:
1. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for Radiology and Interventional Radiology patients.
2. Provide clinical problem-solving expertise for Radiology staff, students, and other healthcare providers.
3. Scrub, circulate, and assist in Interventional Radiology cases in Radiology.
4. Participate in performance improvement initiatives within Nursing and Radiology departments.
5. Serve as a resource for patients and families, offering care information and support.
6. Represent Radiology on hospital committees to ensure departmental needs are communicated.
7. Maintain strong communication and collaboration with all levels of staff across the hospital.
8. Perform other duties as required.
Other information:
Technical Expertise
1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Ohio.
2. Strong communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and time management skills required.
3. Experience working with all levels within an organization is preferred.
4. Experience in healthcare is preferred.
5. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. HRIS is preferred. Benefits Carrier platforms is required.
6. Possesses excellent assessment and rapid intervention skills for the Radiology patient that may decompensate during the exam.
Education and Experience
1. Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required or must be obtained within 5 years from date of hire.
2. Licensure: A valid, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Ohio is required.
3. Certification: PALS certification within 6 months of hiring.
4. Years of experience: Minimum of three (3) years- experience as a pediatric RN.
5. Must have excellent IV start skills for all ages, including neonates.
