OverviewThe Volunteer Development Specialist provides support to the WakeMed Volunteer Services management team through interviewing volunteer candidates, effectively screening applicants, ensuring volunteers are placed appropriately, and assisting with recruitment and improvement initiatives. This position assists the Volunteer Services Manager with the development of placement descriptions, associated standards and competencies; assists in the annual review of all placement descriptions to ensure that they are current and reflect expected responsibilities. Partners with the Representative to ensure initial requirements are met prior to the volunteer's start date.
