Under general supervision, responsible for more technical repair and maintenance of organization automobiles, trucks, and trailers. Troubleshoots, orders parts, and repairs difficult mechanical problems. May direct and train less-experienced mechanics, and serve as the lead mechanic on large repair jobs. Knows and follows all organization, federal, and state environmental and safety regulations. Serves as a resource for technical problems
Responsibilities:
? Responsible for good technical and operational conditions of vehicles ? Inspects, tests, and aligns truck and car lights and wheels and maintains electrical systems and controls ? Balances wheels to minimize wear on tires and rotate wheels at prescribed mileage intervals ? Tunes up engines to maintain combustion control standards ? Adjusts equipment to standards set by state DOT for motor vehicle inspections and safety standards ? Maintains a record of history, including maintenance and preventative maintenance for all vehicles
Job Requirements:
1-3 years of experience as a diesel OR gas mechanic.
Diesel OR Gas Mechanic certificate is preferred.
