Coordinates comprehensive organization-wide infection surveillance, prevention and control program in accordance with current requirements of regulatory, government and accrediting/licensing agencies and organizational policies and procedures. Duties include surveillance for healthcare-associated infections (HAIs); collection, analysis, interpretation and reporting of surveillance data; outbreak investigation; and program evaluation.
Education
B.S. Degree in Nursing, Microbiology, Public Health, Medical Technology, or related field required. Related license or certification. (Required)
Masters in Nursing, Public Health, or related field preferred. Related license or certification. (Preferred)
Experience
3 years of experience in clinical/patient care services or relevant health care position, plus (Required)
2 years minimum experience working in Infection Prevention (Required)
Certifications
CIC certification from the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC) (Required)
