The Development Officer 1 will join the Corporate Account Management Team as a frontline fundraiser. The primary focus of this position is managing external employee giving partnerships and securing new employee giving partnerships. This position is also responsible for cultivating and growing corporate partnerships at the national, regional, & local level, working with franchised & corporately owned businesses, and cultivating corporate relationships from the store level to C-suite. The Development Officer 1 is responsible for the development and implementation of strategies that inspire philanthropy by connecting corporate partners to the mission of Phoenix Children’s through presentations, hospital tours, patient stories, volunteer opportunities, sponsor visits, phone calls, etc. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, collaborative, self-motivated, results driven, and a team player with a positive attitude.
This position works in office at our Foundation in Phoenix 4 days per week and 1 day remote.
The Development Officer I identifies, develops, broadens, and maximizes philanthropic support from individual and business prospects to increase awareness and support of hospital programs, initiatives and goals through philanthropic giving.
Education
Bachelor?s degree in business or related field. (Required)
Experience
2 or more years of fundraising or sales experience. (Required)
Demonstrated success in prospect identification and relationship development and/or new business development. (Required)
Hospital or healthcare experience. (Preferred)
Experience with Raiser?s Edge/Salesforce or similar industry based customer relationship management tools. (Preferred)
Certifications
Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) (Preferred)
