Position Summary
Phoenix Children’s has an exciting opportunity in our OR unit. We are hiring an Endoscopy/Procedural OR nurse. This position will be part of the outpatient operating room, and will be mainly focused on endoscopy and other procedural surgeries. If you are an OR nurse who has always wanted to learn about the endoscopy part of the OR, then this is your opportunity to learn from the best! This position is full time, but the incumbent will only work 4/10’s! This position is primarily M - F, but there may be some call involved that will be discussed during the interviewing process. Incumbent MUST have a minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience working in an OPERATING ROOM or in an ENDOSCOPY unit, NO New Grads, please.
This position works in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient and family to promote patient health through delivery of professional nursing care appropriate to patients age and condition as documented in the nursing and medical plans of care in accordance with evidence-based nursing and patient care practice standards and hospital goals, values and regulatory standards.
Education
- Two year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four year degree (BSN) in nursing, or a Diploma Nursing degree. (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in an RN to BSN program. (Preferred)
Certifications
- Current State of Arizona RN license or an RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges or the ability to establish licensure according to Arizona law prior to start date. (Required)
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association prior to start date. (Required)
