SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Under direction from the IT Business Intelligence Operations Team Lead, this role is responsible for assisting with the daily activities and technical leadership within the BI Operations team. Work closely with Operations Team Lead to ensure Business Intelligence services are functioning and available within the agreed upon service level agreements. Be fluent on institutional data source and destination systems available to the EIM team to deliver data quickly and with high quality to meet customer demand.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: The percentage of time spent performing essential functions is 95%. Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:
Design the coordination/documentation for projects in the Enterprise Information Management (EIM) team
Set appropriate customer expectations (complexity, timeline, deliverables)
Determine and effectively communicate feasibility of request
Analyze data prior to delivery for meaningful relationships, trends and patterns
Execute service requests to meet SLA/OLA requirements
Maintain a working understanding of SQL and database performance tuning
Map data sources to target content storage models, working with legacy databases to implement data access or ETL
Work with BI staff and business users, determine source systems for the data warehouse environment
Perform Data Warehouse data management architecture and implementation
Develop infrastructure architecture and implementation
Complex Clinical workflow as it pertains to data availability
Availability and ease of mining of data sources
Train and mentor less senior staff on the utilization of the design coordination process
Ensure services provided by the BI Operations Team as well as the broader Enterprise Information Management Team and Information Technology are functioning and available within agreed upon service levels.
Provide input on standardized processes to minimize service disruptions.
Troubleshoot issues with data quality, business intelligence applications, and performance.
Have practical experience with one or more Business Intelligence software solutions
Utilize IT best practices to ensure solutions are accurate and of the highest quality
Work with Operations Team Lead to develop and continuously report on Team KPI?s, data delivery standardization, incident management reporting, and providing input on documentation and tracking of quality metrics.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
Bachelor?s Degree plus four (4) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
