• Education & Experience: Associate degree or equivalent experience/training required. Minimum of 3-5 years of cardiac monitoring experience in an acute care setting required. ECG certification required. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with cardiac monitoring technology, Windows-based systems, and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
• Leadership & Operations: Strong ability to oversee daily operations, manage staff scheduling, track time and attendance, and facilitate conflict resolution. Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and workflow standards.
• Clinical & Quality Oversight: Maintain accurate CMU logs, conduct quality audits, and oversee staff performance in arrhythmia detection, patient monitoring, and emergency response. Ensure timely communication with nursing teams and appropriate documentation.
• Training & Development: Lead staff orientation, provide ongoing education, and drive workflow improvements. Deliver just-in-time feedback and monitor compliance with clinical protocols.
• Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Demonstrated critical thinking, initiative, and ability to prioritize workload effectively. Stay updated on advancements in cardiac monitoring and recommend improvements.
• Patient-Centered Approach: Ensure high-quality, sensitive, and respectful service to cardiac patients while optimizing the use of CMU equipment and resources.
