The role you’ll contribute:
The Senior Executive Chef in collaboration with the Director of Nutrition Services has accountability, authority and responsibility over the activities of the patient, retail, and/or catering kitchen(s) to include equipment, recipes, menu, purchases, and staff. The Senior Executive Chef schedules training and implements quality management initiatives related to foodservice standards and customer service excellence. The Senior Executive Chef fosters the integration of the organization’s vision and values and accomplishes the mission and strategic plan through an accountable work team.The Senior Executive Chef collaborates with customers, families, physicians, administration and associates to meet customer needs and expectations in a patient focused and healing environment focused on wellness and sacred experiences. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, purchasing agreements, and budget constraints.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Collaborates with Nutritional Service leaders and registered dietitians to select and develop recipes and menus based on type of food to be prepared and applying personal knowledge and experience in food preparation
Contributes to financial planning, determines food consumption, and manages purchase orders, supplies, inventory, and equipment in accordance with department budgetary guidelines and AdventHealth purchase agreements
Ensures food preparations complies with all regulatory, AdventHealth, and facility guidelines, policies, and procedures
Responsible for overall patient and customer food satisfaction
Executes superior service and food quality to patients, staff and customers for a large, (500 bed) acute care hospital
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
Culinary or related degree AND Four years of culinary technical experience
May be required to obtain and maintain state specific certifications
ServSafe Manager certification or equivalent
Preferred qualifications:
Ten years of culinary technical experience
