The Mammography
Technologist, under the supervision of the Breast Imaging Manager and Medical
Director, conducts diagnostic breast imaging procedures utilizing various
mammography equipment. Responsibilities include patient education, equipment
setup, adherence to quality assurance procedures, and ensuring patient comfort
and confidentiality. They review radiology requests, coordinate exams with other
services, and maintain accurate records while adhering to departmental
protocols and hospital policies. Additionally, they participate in equipment
maintenance, supply management, and uphold professionalism and customer service
standards across UCLA Health Breast Imaging Centers. Your coverage will include
all radiology facilities within the UCLA Health network.
Salary Range: $49.73 -
$65.56 Hourly
Qualifications

ARRT (M) license - required
CRT (R) (M) Mammography license -
required
BLS/CPR certification from
American Heart Association or American Red Cross - required
At least 1 year of experience in
Breast Imaging - required
At least 1 year of DEXA experience
- preferred
Breast Ultrasound experience -
preferred
Associate’s Degree or Higher -
preferred
Ability to identify and recognize
contraindications for exams. (Radiology Only)
Ability to prioritize work,
handling multiple tasks to completion, within the time allotted
Ability to respond efficiently to
expressed needs of referring services, physicians and patients
Excellent interpersonal skills
effectively and diplomatically with patients, visitors, hospital staff,
physicians, and other
Knowledge of medical terminology,
with ability to distinguish between- types of procedures within the assigned
department(s) and medical diagnoses
