The Manager of Operations & Preparedness provides overall management for several WakeMed system wide programs, including the Capital Regional Trauma & Healthcare Preparedness Coalition, the WakeMed Special Operations teams and the Environment of Care and Emergency Management programs. Ensures that activities are performed in a professional, organized, high-quality and customer-oriented manner, while also meeting federal, state & local regulations. Has primary responsibility for the creation and management of the operational, capital and grant budgets and supports the development and implementation of assigned programs and services, ensuring programs and services meet the needs of patients, staff and stakeholders, while representing the programs to hospital administrators, governmental agencies, healthcare organizations, emergency response agencies, professional associations and the public.
