JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a Provider Support Assistant to perform administrative responsibilities in support of one or more physician(s) and/or advanced provider(s).
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Responsibilities:
Schedule and Reschedule patients based on faculty's template
Monitor schedules and try to decompress overbooked clinics by rescheduling patients as necessary
Monitor schedules to ensure patients are scheduled correctly and reschedule patients as needed
Answer patient phone calls
Manage patient referrals
Manage in basket messages/requests
Request new patient notes prior to patients appointment
Ensure all paperwork (FMLA, school/work notes, insurance paperwork) is completed and returned to the patient in a timely manner
Create and mail new patient information packets
Print and mail patient No-Show letters
Submit Schedule Change Request form when bumping, adding or making template edits for faculty
Administrative Responsibilities:
Manage providers Outlook Calendar
Licensures - keep all licenses up-to-date for your faculty
Process provider reimbursements in a timely manner
Submit providers time away in QGenda
Screen mail and handle appropriately
Attend scheduled division meetings
Provide coverage for other retina staff assistants when they are out of the office
JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent education required.
One-year experience of clerical or general office support required.
JOB HOURS
The schedule for this position is day shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
