Under the direction of the Manager of Clinical Services and Workforce Development, the Patient Services Workforce Educator is responsible for coordinating, conducting, and evaluating the training and onboarding of new Patient Services Representatives (PSRs), Call Room Schedulers and Referral Coordinators within NKC Health Medical Group. This position ensures consistent delivery of high-quality, patient-centered service by aligning training and operational workflows with organizational standards. The Patient Services Workforce Educator will facilitate new hire orientation, provide ongoing education, and conduct follow-up visits with new team members post-orientation. Additionally, the Patient Services Workforce Educator will perform retraining and re-education for existing staff as needed to maintain competency and compliance with best practices. What does a typical day on the job look like? Training and Orientation-Design, Coordinates and conducts orientation for new Patient Services and Referral Coordination team members. Delivers engaging instruction using a variety of teaching methods such as role-playing, group discussions, demonstrations, and lectures. Trains team members on standard workflows, EMR utilization, scheduling, registration, and referral coordination processes. Ensures all new hires are proficient in the use of NKC Health's EMR systems, including Cerner Oracle RevCycle, RevSpring, GE AthenaIDX, Notable, Mutare and other management applications. Clinic Support and Ongoing Education-Provides on-site education and support to team members within clinic settings to reinforce training and ensure adherence to NKC Health Medical Group guidelines. Observes workflows to identify training gaps and recommends process improvements. Collaborate with managers to provide individualized retraining or corrective education as needed. Workflow and Best Practice Development-Assists in developing, updating, and implementing best practice workflows and procedures that promote efficiency and standardization across clinics. Partners with leadership teams to maintain alignment with evolving operational standards and system updates. Re-Education and Skills Reinforcement-Provides targeted retraining for staff requiring additional support or refreshers in operational or system processes. Evaluates effectiveness of retraining and monitors improvement metrics. What are the requirements for the job? High School diploma or GED equivalent Three years of experience in a physician's office or healthcare setting Training or education experience preferred. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Experience delivering training and development programs. Ability to access the needs and skills of individuals and organizations. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Passion for helping individuals and organizations reach their full potential.
