Job Description:

• Provide emotional support to patients and families, demonstrating AdventHealth’s commitment to compassionate, whole-person care.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Demonstrates respect for co-workers and develops positive working relationships with other departments and personnel. Support surgical teams by preparing instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Maintain sterility in the surgical field and anticipate the needs of surgeons and scrub techs. Assist in specimen collection, labeling, and handling according to AdventHealth policies.
• Participate in counts (sponges, sharps, instruments) to ensure patient safety. Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in the delivery of nursing services.
