The Memphis VA Medical Center, Medical Services Clinic, located in Memphis, TN is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist. This opportunity comes with an academic affiliation with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and will assist with teaching and advising medical students, residents, and fellows.
The medical center is located on the Bluff of the Mississippi River in the Memphis metropolitan area. Memphis is considered the Mid-South hub of the United States and is known as the birthplace of Blues, Rock & Roll, as well as the home of the NBA Team, the Memphis Grizzlies. Duties:
Provide consultation on various forms of cardiovascular disease states, both for diagnosis and treatment in the inpatient and outpatient settings.
Perform and interpret cardiac catheterization procedures as well as diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral procedures.
Assist with non-invasive procedures such as stress tests, trans-thoracic or trans-esophageal echocardiograms.
Share attending call responsibilities with the other cardiologists in covering some night, weekend, and holiday calls as needed.
Assist the Cardiology/Coronary Care Unit (CCU) team consisting of Cardiology fellows, Internal Medicine Residents, Medical Students, Pharmacists, and mid-level providers.
Give didactic lectures to Cardiology fellows and participate in academic activities such as journal review, grand rounds, conferences, and lectures.

Experience Based Salary $313,000 - $400,000
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri: 8AM-4:30PM w/periodic on call

Board Eligible/Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology
Borad Eligible/Board Certified in Cardiovascular Diseases
