Indiana University Health Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Anesthesia Nocturnist to join the anesthesia care team at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana. This role is designated for a physician who thrives in the overnight environment and is passionate about providing high quality obstetric anesthesia care. The Nocturnist will play a key role in supporting the hospitals Labor and Delivery unit, ensuring consistent, expert coverage for epidurals, emergent cases and OB surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Provide overnight anesthesia coverage with sole focus on obstetric anesthesia
Expect to manage 3-5 different procedures during shifts including the following:
Labor epidurals
Spinals
C-Sections
OB Anesthesia consults
Epidural Blood Patch consultation / procedures
Coverage of rare emergency airway (primary coverage is by 24/7 in-house intensivists)
Collaborate closely with obstetricians, CRNAs/CAAs, nurses and support staff
Participate in call responsibilities aligned with nocturnist scheduling
Position Details
Shift: 7pm - 7am, Night OB Anesthesia Coverage
1 Week On / 2 weeks off
General anesthesia call shifts and daytime moonlighting shifts available for pickup on off weeks for extra earning potential.

Current eligible Indiana licensure
