The Memphis VA Medical Center has an opening for a Dermatologist with a dual academic appointment to the University of Tennessee. The Medical Center consists of one main campus and ten community-based outpatient clinics (CBOCs). The Medical Center is a 1a complexity tertiary care VA healthcare system located in one of the fastest growing Veteran population regions in the United States. The facility provides comprehensive care to almost 69,000 enrolled Veterans in a 52-county area of Western Tennessee, Northern Mississippi, and Northeast Arkansas. It includes 236 inpatient beds with a 26-bed Spinal Cord Injury Unit. It is a teaching hospital, providing a full range of patient care services, with state-of-the-art technology, as well as extensive education and research programs. Comprehensive primary, secondary, and tertiary health care is provided in vast areas of medicine, to include but not limited to cardiology, surgery, psychiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, neurology, oncology, rheumatology, geriatrics, women’s health, and dentistry.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Provide direct patient care in both inpatient and outpatient dermatology settings
Observe patient responses, testing procedures, use of equipment and review of patient records
Consistently monitor and report on outcomes in the Dermatology Clinic
Provide education to other physicians and healthcare professionals regarding dermatology
Provide education, supervision, and mentoring to medical students, residents, and fellows
Highlights of this position include:
Experience Based Salary $300,000-$322,000
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri: 8AM-4:30PM
CME Reimbursement: Possible $2000 per year (must be Board Certified)
