Employee Health Nurse administers pre-employment assessments, administers immunizations and drug screenings and participates in the return to work/work restrictions process.
Responsibilities: 1.Perform employment health assessment and annual monitoring of employee safety measures.
2.Administer pre-employment assessments including review of health history and immunizations, drug screening, TB testing.
3.Review immunization records with employees and administer immunizations as needed. Administer seasonal influenza vaccination program. Review recommendations, side effects, administration, and contraindications of flu shots with nursing and medical volunteers.
4.Perform random drug screening, TB testing, individual department certifications, return to work/work restrictions, interactive process for ADA, fitness for duty, blood and body fluid exposure follow-up, basic first-aid, basic biometric monitoring, smoking cessation instruction and support with nicotine patches.
5.Work with physician oversight regarding Return to Work in accordance with employee health process; act in the clinical capacity in support of the Fitness for Duty process.
6.Chart and maintain employee files in a confidential file.
7.Other duties as required.
Technical Expertise 1.Experience in employee health, occupational health, or related field is required.
2.Experience in performing comprehensive health assessments is preferred.
3.Experience in a clinical hospital setting is required.
4.Experience working with all levels within an organization is preferred.
5.Experience in healthcare is preferred.
6.Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. HRIS is preferred. Benefits Carrier platforms is required.
Education and Experience 1.Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing [BSN] is required.
2.Certification: Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Ohio is required
