The Department of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated Program Coordinator to join the UCLA Women’s Health Education & Research Center in the General Internal Medicine and Health Services Research Division. As Program Coordinator, you will play a key role in providing administrative support to the Center. You'll manage correspondence, schedule meetings, and prepare reports while also ordering office supplies and materials. In addition, you'll have the opportunity to assist with conference and program planning, including Continuing Medical Education seminars, as well as grant writing and research and evaluation studies. You'll also help maintain and update the website, social media platforms, and the Center’s promotional materials, ensuring that the Division’s online presence is informative and engaging. This opportunity is ideal for organized, self-starters seeking a dynamic administrative role.
Hourly range: $26.42-$37.49
Qualifications
Required:
Skill in editing for spelling, punctuation, and grammar. Ability to recognize, spell, and use technical and medical terminology appropriately.
Typing skills to quickly and accurately prepare documents.
Skills in typing numerical tables of data using format provided.
Ability to type with speed and accuracy using a PC
Skill in proofreading types material and all written works
Ability to seek appropriate staff and other resources when questions regarding format, illegible writing, or office procedures arise
Ability to use software: MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel,Photoshop, Adobe, Canva
Ability to manage Zoom functions.
Ability to use photocopy machine and fax machine as needed.
Knowledge of University policies and procedures on travel
Knowledge of University policies and procedures regarding procurement
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with other staff members and faculty.
Skill in setting priorities which accurately reflect relative importance of job responsibilities and in coordinating projects from multiple supervisors
Skill in exercising good judgment in dealing with Center visitors
Ability to work independently via Zoom and maintain accountability for time and work
Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
