SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Penn State Health Vice President of Strategy is responsible for executing on an enterprise-wide strategic plan, to include consistent connection of strategic plan goals to annual operating plan imperatives to produce desired results. This leader will guide the development, implementation, and ongoing management of the enterprise strategic plan, ensuring alignment between long-term strategic priorities, annual operating plans, and systemwide performance outcomes.
The Vice President of Strategy will also be responsible for developing and executing enterprise-wide and market-specific growth strategies that inter-relate with the health system?s transformation goals and initiatives, to ensure optimal healthcare delivery to the communities served by Penn State Health. Reporting to the Executive Vice President and Chief Transformation Officer, this executive will oversee all strategic planning functions within an integrated department and will work closely with clinical, operational, and administrative leadership across the enterprise.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
Master?s degree in a healthcare-related or business field
Minimum 10 years of demonstrated leadership experience in healthcare, including significant experience in strategic planning, and strategy execution.
Demonstrated success advancing enterprise strategic priorities and building outcomes-focused partnerships with clinical, operational, financial, and ancillary service leadership.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
Experience within an academic health system or large integrated delivery network
Demonstrated success in developing and executing external partnerships, including payer partnerships, health system affiliations, and joint ventures
Experience launching new clinical programs, services or care delivery models
