This position exists to facilitate planning, development and oversight of the operations of IU Health's Medical Staff Services and Quality and direct operational leadership for the Medical Staff Peer Review process and Medical Staff committee functions for the Metro region. You will serve as the key consultant and support IU Health's system Medical Staff officers and leaders in the completion of the official duties by facilitating communication and active involvement within IU Health. Overseeing the processing and analysis of quality and performance data through the organizational committee structure by utilizing information management techniques such as data collection, analysis and trending and by serving as a conduit for the dissemination of relevant focused and ongoing performance review information. Serve to assist the regional Chief Medical Officers, Medical Staff officers, and as a leader with active oversight and management of ongoing Peer Review processes, implementation of evidence based medicine, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the organization's implemented best practices in order to support the organization's emphasis on quality and safety. Trains and supervises staff to perform essential functions of facilitating the application for appointment and reappointment for the Metro region. This position reports to the regional Chief Medical Officer and has direct leadership responsibility for the outlined services at the local level. This position is also supported through an indirect reporting relationship and receives consultative guidance from Accreditation & Regulatory Compliance leadership regarding regulatory and legal requirements for the areas of Credentialing and Peer Review within Medical Staff Services. This position is responsible for providing administrative decision making, leadership and strategic planning including the efficient and productive use of personnel, materials and financial resources. Establishes policy and direction (programs and services) for department and is accountable for department results. This position is also responsible for the efficient and purposeful integration of services with other areas and emerging delivery systems. Accountable for driving preeminence throughout the assigned areas. Preeminence is being acknowledged as a leader in quality, clinical care, education and research by your peers. Acts as a partner of the organization leadership team and participates in the strategic planning and the attainment of goals for area of responsibility. the incumbent serves as the System Best Practices team leader and provides system-wide guidance and consultation for Medical Staff Services, Quality and Peer Review. Works in collaboration with IU Health's General Counsel & system-wide CMO's to develop one system Medical Staff Office, Quality & Peer Review process for all entities.

Candidate Qualifications
Candidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.
- Bachelor's Degree is required. Master's Degree is preferred.
- Requires 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- Masters degree in business or healthcare associated field, or waived if candidate possesses five (5) or more years experience working directly with Medical Staff credentialing and quality monitoring services. Requires an active license for any licensed individual. RN or other clinical licensed preferred.
- CPHQ (Certified Professional in Health are Quality) or CPMSM (Certified Professional in Medical Staff Management) required or must be obtained within first year of employment. Prior experience in healthcare management preferred; previous Medical Staff credentialing or Medical Staff quality monitoring and Peer Review experience highly desirable.

- Requires experience preparing and adhering to Service Level Agreements with stakeholders/customers.
- Requires knowledge of state and federal laws relative to assigned area.
