Carle Health is seeking additional BE/BC Neurologists to join our growing Neuroscience Institutes in Central Illinois.

• Candidates with experience and new graduates welcome to apply
• Opportunity to practice in Champaign-Urbana, Bloomington-Normal, or Peoria, Illinois greater areas
• General Neurology opportunities. Candidates with additional fellowship training in Cognitive Neurology, Neuromuscular Disease, Movement Disorders, or Headache Medicine are highly encouraged to apply
• Our Magnet® Designated Hospitals include Carle Foundation Hospital in Champaign-Urbana, Carle BroMenn Medical Center in Bloomington-Normal, and Carle Health Methodist Hospital in Peoria
• Carle Foundation Hospital is the only Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center in a Level I Trauma Center in East Central Illinois. In addition to being Level II Trauma Centers, Carle BroMenn Medical Center holds Primary Stroke Center Plus (PSC+) Certification and Carle Health Methodist Hospital is a Certified Primary Stroke Center. All three hospitals offer an inpatient rehabilitation unit for patients recovering from a stroke or other illnesses/injuries
• Our ambulatory team includes other BC Neurologists, Neurology Advanced Practice Providers, residents in Neurology, Psychiatry, and medical students from the Carle Illinois College of Medicine
• Academic and/or research opportunities available through the Carle Neuroscience Institute in Urbana, the University of Illinois Beckman Institute, and the Carle Illinois College of Medicine. Academic appointment through the Carle Illinois College of Medicine will be commensurate with academic experience and rank
• Integrated neurosciences service line with strong physician-centered management with support from established Hospitalist, Critical Care, Neuroradiology, and Neurosurgical teams

• As a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center from DNV Healthcare, CNI provides comprehensive services including Vascular Neurology, Neurosurgery, Neuroradiology, and Neuro-interventional services
• Carle Foundation Hospital is accredited as a Level 3 Epilepsy Center by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC)
• Carle Foundation Hospital is the recipient of 2025 AHA/ASA Get With The Guidelines®- Stroke Gold Plus Target: Stroke^SM Honor Roll Elite Plus and Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll

Faculty appointments at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign will be aligned with experience and accomplishments.

 

Protected academic time (up to 0.2 FTE) supports clinical research and innovation. Opportunities include investigator-initiated studies through the Stephens Family Clinical Research Institute at Carle Cancer Institute and collaboration with the Cancer Center at Illinois, home to more than 75 investigators and over $50 million in annual research funding.

 

This partnership enables physicians to collaborate across disciplines to solve real clinical challenges with global leaders in engineering and data science.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $350,000 - $375,000. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate?s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
